This 1950’s craftsman house in Sonoma, CA had a small and dark interior which was unsuitable for an aging inhabitant. The core of the house was reframed in order to provide an open kitchen, accessible bathroom, expanded laundry area, and widened doorways. During the construction process, the long-covered redwood flooring was rediscovered, refinished, and is again part of the house’s interior.
